SAM Website Content Managment from Bravo Zulu

SAM Website Content Managment from Bravo Zulu

Whether working at the site or page level, SAM gives both information architects and graphic designers an unprecedented amount of control over the "look and feel" of their site.

If You Can Design It—SAM Can Maintain It

Unlike many web content managers, SAM offers 100% control over the presentation layer; any design that can be accomplished in HTML can be replicated in SAM. That's important if you don't want to be straightjacketed by your content management system, or want the ability to update your existing site now. Bravo Zulu can retrofit your current site and have you up and editing in a fraction of the time it would take to undergo a total redesign process. What's more, although the underlying "layout grid" is determined and enforced by custom templates that are established for each site, content creators have an amazing degree of flexibility within the template. They can choose the number of text columns on a page, for example, and place pictures and other design elements wherever they wish (within the normal constraints of HTML, natch).

True What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get Editing

Often promised but seldom delivered, SAM content in admin mode looks exactly like the published content, save for the editing controls discreetly tucked away "below the fold".

Content Independent of Design

All SAM content, including text, pictures, and other assets, is stored and managed separately from the page layout. This not only enforces graphic standards, but facilitates the redesign process. When it comes times for the inevitable redesign, simply remap your existing content "chunks" to their new destinations, and your new site is created with one touch of the Publish button. No kidding.

Concurrent Content Development and Design Paths = Faster Deployment

Using our universal prototyping methodology, SAM users can begin building out a "protosite" before the final design is approved—or even begun. In fact, this is one of the best ways to rapidly build and user-test a site. The discoveries made during the prototyping process will inform the final design to ensure maximum usability. Once the site's organization, navigation, and labeling are finalized in the protosite, the design team can get to work making it pretty. Upon establishing the new templates and style guide based on approved designs, the site can literally be populated with one touch of the Publish button; all content from the protosite is instantly pulled into the shiny new design and—voila!—your site is ready for final testing and review.

Repurpose Content With the Greatest of Ease

The power of XML drives all SAM content, making it a snap to deliver the same content in multiple channels, including your intranet or extranet, print collateral, or wireless communications.
